    1. Please, please, please pass on my info to your sister (if you have not already). I wish I knew about the 180 before I went under the knife, I would have given myself 6months before making such a life altering decision!
Thank You for featuring me and this post. This topic is very near & dear to my heart. This decision effected not just me but my entire family, scary!
I hope to get my story out there to help others make a "real" educated decision and help those who are not fairing to well after the surgery and are looking for help, help that the doctors have not been able to help them with.

  3. Hi! I had weight loss surgery April 2012 and have lost a total of 120LBS so far. I still have a little bit left, but I feel so much better! It's always nice to meet a fellow post-op.

    1. Hi, Im glad you lost all that excess weight, how are you doing now with your blood levels? What vitamins/protein replacements do you use?

  4. My blood levels are normal. I use Bariatric Fusion vitamins 4x a day and drink GNC Lean Protein drink when needed. I get most of my protein through food now.

    1. It wasn't until after a couple years I began to feel the residual effect of consuming synthetic vitamins & the protein powdered loaded with yucky stuff! I'm so glad I found Shaklee. I'm the best I've ever been in my entire life & I'm approaching 40!

  7. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this topic. As you’ve said, a lot of people are now looking into undergoing this medical process, and some of them do so blindly. Hearing or reading about firsthand accounts of people who’ve already undergone surgery is a great way to gauge if this operation is the way to go, whether to confirm or disprove your fears, or simply just to know how to cope before and after the operation. Again, thank you for stepping up and providing that insight into your life. Cheers!

  8. I had successful weight loss surgery a year ago and I don't encounter any serious problem. All you need to do is to have a discipline and control to yourself for eating not healthy foods.

    1. Gretchen, typically folks who are 5 years post op really start seeing and feeling the problems. You are still in the "honeymoon" phase. I wish you well Gretchen :-)
